Another Option Code Question
I finally have explored enough of my car now to try and reconstruct it's history. It is an early 1985 Euro car. The car has 15 inch fuchs, manual steering, 23mm front sway bar and 14 mm rear sway bar (that seems like a strange combination), Euro body work. The front springs seem to have three blue dabs of paint (at least on one of them)
I have attached a photo of the options sticker. I think I have decoded most of the options: C00 - Country Germany M12 - Sports Design Package (What is that?) M99 - ?? 429 - White Fog Light 454 - Cruise Control 650 - Removable Sunroof 651 - Electric Windows 666 - Without lacquer + chrome preservation (huh?) 715 - Control PV-U Production Pilot Run (interim model?) Does anybody know what the details are for M12 and M99? I am trying to figure out what was original and what was added. Thanks! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1415190638.jpg |
I don't speak 944, just 968 so sorry, no help here. Do you still have the kilo speedo in the car? Will you have any trouble registering it or is it too old now for them to care. It must have a cool story behind it.

The list I found has M99 listed as Right Hand Drive
|
It is definitely a left hand drive car....that would have been a hell of a retrofit!
The speedo is in MPH but the consumption gauge is n LPH and the cruise control stick is in German The VIN never goes into any system properly, luckily it is old enough most people don't care These are the oddities I am trying to understand...:) |

Don't feel bad. My '92 968 doesn't either and EVERYBODY cares. Emissions computers scan VIN (correctly) as WPOCxxxxxxxxxxx. Three states have now told me that's impossible, there are no "O's" in VINs, has to be a zero. Finally I talked a nice lady at the Utah DMV into amending my title to WP0C so I now have a semi-legal title, license, and emissions sticker. :lol3 |
