Lightbulb spacers and power steering

I know I have already posted about these problems but just a few follow up questions. On my early 85 how do I tell if I have power steering other than the feel of it, it just feels stiffer than maybe it should. Also I was told by one member that to put my newly acquired 16" fuchs on my 944 (6" and 7") that to put the 6" on the front I'll need spacers does anyone know what size I'll need or are best reccommended? Thanks

Check out this site - I found it very useful.

You can scroll on the left and look for the link to wheel spacers.
Good luck.

I had 32mm spacers on my front when it was running on a set of 16"x6 Design 90s (the ones on the 964 C4) - offset 52 mm (I think). It worked okay and looked okay, but always felt that I was getting a bit more understeer. Finally swapped them for a proper set of Fuchs.

However, the answer to your questions depends on what offset is your set of 16"x6.

Look on the inside of the fuchs. The offset is what is going to matter. It should be stamped. Something like "ETxx" where xx is the offset in mm. 23 is what you're looking for. Some 911 Fuchs used a 10mm offset I think. It should still work ok, just stick out a bit. I don't think it'll rub the fender but it may.
