anybody near SF bay need wrenching done/help soon?

Hi,
As you may know for a few years I've been offering my time and services as a sort of mobile 944 mechanic. I have travelled all up and down California from Berkeley to Palm desert to help rennlisters and pelicans and their friends fix their 944/968 cars.

I am looking into taking a trip for a few days to the sf bay area to visit my brother and some friends but need a little more justification to actually make the drive. So I figured I'd check if anybody has work to do.

I've got lots of the special tools and methods, I usually just do the work in your driveway. $50/hour is the standard rate. For timing belts it's a flat fee, $200 for 87-91 engines and $175 for 82-86. $225 for a 968- the later the car, it takes a little bit longer due to the automatic belt tensioned being in the way. Water pumps are priced as a belt job plus the additional time required to change the pump, usually another 2-3 hours depending how dirty the engine is.

If you've got a project planned and need help, please let me know and we can work something out!

V2,

At those prices, it's almost worth for me to send you out here to Mass... I admit though, I enjoy wrenching on my car. Have a great trip and thanks for keeping these cars on the road!
