Ok, here's the scoop. I've ALWAYS loved the 928... ever since I was a kid. I have come across a couple of them lately and started thinking about how much I've always wanted one. So I will almost certainly buy one and sell the 924S.
My car is a 1988 924S - 5 Speed. The car is in excellent mechanical condition. The interior is excellent, save the crack in the dash. It has had a dash mat covering it for some time now. The paint is original and could use a re-spray. Finally, there are two minor dings, one on the hood, one on the front fender. No power locks or seats, but I believe that it has almost all other options. I am the second owner. It has 86,000 miles on it. Always professionally maintained. My question to you (the 924/944/968 group): What is the car REALLY worth. Blue book is way low. You see cars in Excellence going for more than book a lot of the time. The classified prices on the Internet vary from $2500 to $6900. I know the car isn't worth $6900, but it's got to be worth more than blue book. Ideas? Suggestions? Thoughts? Tasty recipes? Thanks.

you could probably get $4500-$5000 for it. Hell, if you lived closer, I have friends that would buy it for $5000... 924S isn't a car that you see every day around here.

I certainly think that the values for the 924S's are too low. Heck, for $4,000-$5,000 one could own a low mileage, good conditioned, classic looking, dependable and quick Porsche. I knew an individual who lives in Astoria, OR that was selling a pristine 1987 924S with about 75,000 miles on the clock for $4,500. That, to me, is too low and a shame.
