Today I have to remove the fuel rail and hoses,...

I am not sure whether fuel is under pressure or not. I'm sure as hell not going to crank the engine to bleed the pressure. How can I relieve the pressure in fuel line without diconnecting the fuel pump and cranking engine. Is there a hose I could disconnect and drain/ relieve the pressure? I dont feel like dumping gas all over the engine. Thanks for your help.

I just pile up some rags under the fuel damper and slowly open the nut. Just let it drip onto the rags. A little comes out. It's no big deal. Liquids are incompressible but the rubber portions of the fuel lines expand under pressure so there is a little squirt. It's not like it is a compressed gas.

Disconnect negative battery terminal.

Ok, will do,... I have some pictures here. They are not current, I'll get some newer shots of the car later.

Overkill....

Make sure you put a bag around the hoses and duct tape them shut.

You can also use a vise grip on the return line.

- u know I forgot how nice a 16 valve motor looks..... with that huge 16 ventileur air box (sp?)

Nice clean looking engine compartment. I'd be embarrassed for anyone to see mine.

But it runs fine.

Well, I am kinda fixed on a figure like $6000. She has like 85,000 on her and the car is in GREAT condition. If you want more pictures let me know. If you are interested, email me and we'll talk.
