going to look at a car tomorrow

Hey guys,

I got contacted today about a guy who is selling two 1980 Porsche 924 turbos for 1,000. from the looks of the pics they are not too bad but I don't know what interior looks like or the underneath, What areas should I pay attention to in looking at the cars, I do know the engine don't work but that's ok,

What my plan is is to build one track car out of both cars, depending on how good they both are. I have only owned my 928 so I don't know much about the 924/944. I am going to assume that the I should upgrade the suspension to the 944 set up, also how hard is it to install the ls1 engine in one. Any help is appreciated,

Lots of info on these cars on 924.org, go to the forum and do some searching. There is an engine swap section, not sure if anyone has done an LS1 on these cars. If you want to go early 944 suspension, you can add a body kit from either GT Racing, or AIR International. Here's my car, a CGT clone, with a factory top mounted intercooler. Currently the car is waiting for a new engine~!

Just wondering how you made out on the 931's? Post some pics of what you found if you end up taking any!
