DOHC intake valve timing 944S

I have a 944S - the timing belt went (after only 15000km).

so i have replaced the 8 bent exhaust valves etc and put it back together.
BUT
I want to check the relative timing between the exhast and
intake camshafts.
HOW ?

are there any factory marks on the camshafts to help ? or do i really need to idntify when the intake valve opens ?

I would also appreciate any comments on belt tension - i think the belt is already too tight without the tensioner ! the tensioner doesn't move the belt at all when released anyway.

any suggestion welcome

thanks
