Am I right in thinking that i can swap my early 85 interior with that of any 924? Are there any parts that are different ie door cards or sunroof interior cover?
Thanks Jake |

Mostly but not all.
Electric windows verses roll up. Carpets and seats should be the same with the exception of how the back seat top latches in the up position. You could swap the upholstery though.

Actually, the interior of the early 944 is exactly like the 944 with the exception of the gauges and I think PORSCHE in the door panels. I have had electric windows in 2 of my 924's (which were factory). Also the rear seat back is the same thru early 85 (all changes began with the 85.5 )
In my 83 944 I have PORSCHE in the door panels. I think this may have been exclusive to the 924, which means I have some 924 components in my 944. Does anyone know, did the early 944 have these panels or not?

Hmmm... Now that I think about it the 79 or 80 924 I had did have electric windows. And possibly the larger sunroof. The 78 924 had roll up windows. Don't think it had a sunroof.
But starting with the 84 the back seat latched differently. I gave the interior from the 86 I junked out to Todwic to use in his 84. Had the two buttons, one on each end of the top of the back seat, to release the seat from the pins sticking out of the side pillars. The same as what Todwic already had. Scottmandue's 84 had the same two button back seat top. Gordon, I know you have a gauge set from a 924 -- no fuel use gauge. Possibly the door panels too.

So am I right in thinking that the dash is the same on the 924 and all the instrument panels or are there some changes there too?
Thanks for the help |

The 944 has different gauges than the 924. The speedo goes to 170 mph and the tach has a fuel consumption gauge built in. Also my 944 has a silver facing.
Does anyone out there have a gauge set for an early 944? I am also looking for new door panels.. Must get original!

ok so the actual guages and guage facia are different that's not a problem as I will use the old guages, but this means means the 944 guages and guage facia will still fit into a 924 dash right?
