rear hatch gasket

Hello guys, I just purchased a new rear hatch seal from pelican. I'm wondering if I should just press it in place or should I glue it with a little silicon too?

I would install it without glue and let it stretch out and conform to the shape for a few weeks of warm weather, and then glue it in place. Otherwise it will pull in at the corners.
