986 IMS bearing question

Hi,

I just purchased my first porshe... 2002 boxster.

I have been reading about the IMS bearing issue... I know this is probably a stupid question, but is that problem only for standard transmissions (due to the fact that all the documentation talked about flywheel issues), or does it also include automatic transmissions?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

It includes the automatics but you will get a better answer if you post in the Boxster forum rather than the transaxle forum.
