924s head gasket replacement suggestions?

Looks like my head gasket went, hence the oil leak from the upper right part of my engine. I'm still not sure if that's the case, but far as i understand, this being a SOHC engine, i'll need to rip out most of the car to replace this one damned thing. Anyway, if you've got any suggestions for a 924s owner and his mechanic, please post

Ripping it apart is pretty straight forward.
When you put it back together you will need to get the belts retensioned.

A few things that stick out when I did it....

1. get the complete head gasket kit and replace all the seals. You may as well do the oil cooler ones since you will be there anyways. Belts and any other rollers.

2. Do not remove the headers, remove the head with the exhaust headers attached.

Asides that there have been many good postings regarding this topic. THere are many good step by step procedures on the net.

Good luck.

Oil is usually from the cam housing. You may be making more work for yourself than is necessary.

How's the compression?

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?
