944 exhaust

I remove the catalytic converter on my 1985 944 for a strait pipe....and now the muffler is very noisy......whats the best....change the muffler for a bigger one or put a resonator to replace the catalytic converter....thanks

Put the cat back on is the best solution.

Did you actually replace it with a straight pipe or did you take a long screwdriver and hammer all of the innards out onto the garage floor?

On my N/A the previous owner removed the ceramic honeycomb inside of the cat, with a genuine cat back system it is not that loud.

Maybe there is another issue.
