944S and S2 Flywheel
Since I'm in the process of replacing my clutch, I pulled the flywheel off my S2 for resurfacing. While I was at it, I also brought in the flywheel from my 944S on the motor I am rebuilding. Both flywheels have the exact same Porsche part number, 9441021056R, however, one flywheel has two reference sensor studs while the other one has zero and does not even have the holes.
I have not ideal which one belongs to which engine, or if it even matters. Some advice would be appreciated. |

The top one is S2 for sure. Does the S have both sensors at the flywheel?

Frankly my dear....

The bottom one is for the 'S'. Its engine does have two sensors fitted, but only one is used by the DME, the other is for the Porsche Engine Diagnostic tool (usually capped-off at the connector).
