I was just playing around at the shop the other day and thought this was a cool idea..... Anyone know of a good way to wire it up so the lights would come on? I thought about a converter or to switch it over to 110 volt. Thoughts? Next up.... The crank end table

A "wall wart" transformer should work. Much easier than converting it to 120v unless you were to just string christmas lights through it. Believe the bulbs are 20w, meaning you'll need a transformer that can do 80va to run the four bulbs at the full brightness.

How about taking out the backing to expose the lens from behind and running a light bulb/tube to illuminate them all. You can put a dimmer on the switch to control/adjust the brightness. To eliminate the glare on the wall behind you'll have to fab up some "shield/cover" to keep the light focused on the lens. It shouldn't be too hard to do.
