944 Turbo rear coilover conv. problem
 

So I bought a set of bilstein coilovers for my track car 944 turbo. Decided to remove the torsion bars and run stiff rear springs. Everything went fine with the conversion. BUT, I noticed now the least amount of rear camber on one side is -2.8 which is too much, would like to be around -2. I brought it down to a local Porsche shop for alignment and they said its a common problem. I guess with to t-bar gone and spring now taking the load it creates more natural camber.

Has anyone ran into this problem and is there a remedy??

it's likely due to your ride height. there is a point where you go too low (yes, there is such a thing) and you can't get rid of the negative camber.

also, if you still have the rubber bushings in the torsion tube, they compress under load, and will result in too much negative camber. they will also move around and result in some really bad handling and cornering issues. you have to run either delrin or polybronze when doing a torsion bar delete.
