Declared victory to quickly

I had a post running a bit about about "won't start- at least sometimes". I thought it was a loose connection to the DME but now I'm not so sure. Soon after "fixing" it with my wire wiggle, the car started not starting again.
I've pulled the DME and with it sitting in the floor board, I can KILL the car by knocking lightly on the box.
I always thought DME's just died, none of this "sometimes" bull ****e.
Anyway, my car is a 1988- If I need another DME, does 85.5 on work (I can hit ebay). Anyone have a DME for sale cheap?
I'm pretty sure it's not a loose wire- I can move the harness around quite a bit with hardly a stutter, but when I bump the box, it dies.
IDEAS?

Lightbulb

Loose or broken solder point somewhere on the board is my guess. Look over the board carefully, looking for a point where there is any movement when the component is wiggled slightly. If the solder point is solid, there should be no movement at all. You may actually see a solder point where there the post sticking though the board is no longer joined by the solder, kinda like a ring around the post. Sometimes these are really difficult to find though, even with experience.

Answered my own question
85 & 86 are the same
87 is different
88 is different

With that in mind, anybody have a spare 1988 DME sitting around they want to sell cheap?
