Grease Power Steering Rack?

I have taken apart my power steering rack of my 87' 924s to reseal the whole system. Upon tearing it apart I am not sure weather there was grease on the rack teeth or just build up of some kind.
My question is, do I need to put grease on the teeth, or does the steering fluid (dextron 3?) lubricate it enough? And how much grease if any do I apply?
The grease I have is Mobil 1 synthetic, will this work (if I need it)
