Hi All,
I'm a new member and have had my 83 944 for about a year now. I've done a lot of odd jobs on it so if I can help I'll sure try to be an asset to the cause. In the meantime I could use some help ... I've replaced the rollers on the driver's side window regulator and have made all the adjustments that seem available, however the window still has about an 1" or 2"of slop. In other words, when I lower the window it makes a sudden drop before the being properly supported. could the be an adjustment that I'm missing ... like the track? |

Look for a broken tooth on the window regulator sector gear.

Thanks for the help ... gears are good, turns out it was the top limit adjustment stop.
Seems it was adjusted way too tight, I back it up and it works good now. Except now part of the bracket broke that had one of the stud holes in it. I'll mount it and see if it holds... otherwise guess I'll need to spring for another regulator
