Electric Air Valve
I'm almost done with restoring my early 944, but I still have a problem. When idling, the engine almost stall, when the AC kick in.
When look closely, I notice that my car is missing the "electric air valve". Can anyone please tell me from this diagram where is it connected to? ![]() Green colour connect to? Red colour connect to? |

the purpose of that valve is to let a little more air into the manifold when the AC is on while the car is idling. it prevents you from having that stumbling!
numbers below match item #s from your catalog page. wires can hook on either post.

Still I have one more question, in the picture you posted the hose number 15 look difference to the diagram, why? Look like number 15 has 3 ends; 1 end to ICV, 1 end to Electric Air Valve, and the other end to Intake Manifold port? |

MY #15 is the same as in the catalog photo above but the angle doesn't show it well
![]() The short leg of the "J" attaches to the manifold barb, the "T" below that end is where the AC air valve hose attaches. |
