Fuel Pump Fuse Blowing
Hi all! I have an 86 951 and love it!! It has however given me quite a few hours of quality time with wrenches in hand over the years. Mostly electrical issues. I went to start it this spring and no fuel, upon further inspection I see it is blowing the 15amp fuel pump fuse. I was wondering if by chance there was a location along the line or an issue that generally pops up with these? Is there a location I should start checking from? I assume I will end up from one end to the other before finding it but thought it was worth a shot...

A bad fuel pump can cause the fuse to blow.
I'd disconnect the fuel pump and connect a bulb at the pump end as a test, if it does not blow the fuse then your wires are good and the pump is the culprit. |
