New 968 owner needs help in the LA area
Friend of mine just bought a 968 in Texas and has now driven it to the LA area. He will be in that area for a week or so then I believe he will ship the car home to Germany.
First off he needs a new windshield and sadly he went to the Porsche dealership where they quoted him about $1000 plus tax for the glass and labor, but then they have to order it from Germany. Any ideas on this? Then he has some misc mechanical stuff that needs doing and he knows no one there. Any suggestions? Thx, Joe A

cant help on the windshield but i might be able to help with the mech work...
968 windshields are pretty much out of stock...theyve been used up. you can get one installed cheap but it doesnt have the antenna in it... see my other thread  Shameless self promotion - SoCal 944 traveling mechanic. |

There was a guy in MASS who purchased a bunch of new 968 windshields and was selling them. I'm not sure if he sold out but he did have the correct one.
