1985 porshce 944
Hello everyone
Ive been looking into buying an 1985 or so Porsche 944 and I'm just not to familiar with everything going on with this car. I'm going to do alot of reading before I get one but Ive got some spare cash laying around and am a Porsche enthusiast. I was just wondering if someone could give me some tips about buying and normal problems they have and things to look for in buying one or just personal experience with the car your self thanks you (just as a side not I'm not completely new to a classic porches my dad got a 1988 Porsche 911 turbo a few years ago and since then have wanted a classic Porsche since again thanks for any help you can give) |

The only thing an 88 930 and a 85 944 have in common is the crest on the hood.

Have a look around here: Clark's Garage Home Page
There's a ton of good information, including a page on "purchasing a 944"

Hi. I'm a first time owner. I just bought an 87 944 about two weeks ago. I'm loving it. Personally I went with a late model (post 1985.5) for the updated dash and a few engine/performance tweaks. Also, I figured the timing tensioner couldn't hurt within these late models. Feel free to send me a PM with any specific questions. I'd be glad to help if I can.
