968 Sway Bar on Lowered Car

If one was going to use a 968 sway bar on a car lowered to the normal Spec944 ride height of 4-1/2" from its standard +-7" would I have to shorten the hangers to match? Secondly does a standard style mount sway bar get into a bind at this lower ride height? Don't need to get into a 968 vs Welt discussion

you won't have to change the hangers, but if you are going to lower your car that much, you will need to relocate the steering rack and alter the geometry of the suspension. otherwise, your roll center will be well below ground, and your cornering and handling will suffer. there is such a thing as "too low"

Agree completely with flash; lower the car to the European ride height and everything will be fine.
