Another milky oil thread
Hi—
My 84 944 project has milky oil at the inner head bolt depression within the cam tower. Initially, there was an oil leak at the #1 plug area in the cam tower. I drained coolant, loosened cam tower bolts, then rotated crank to TDC. The oil leak then appeared milky. No oil in coolant and dipstick shows normal oil. I could drain to investigate further. Just wondering if anyone had any insight? Thanks! |

Never mind. Milky oil on the dipstick now. Fortunately none in the coolant I drained. The PO must have put new oil in before he sold it to me, LOL.

Before you tear the cylinder head off, start your efforts with checking/replacing the gaskets etc at the oil cooler.
