S intake to S2 intake conversion Vacuum lines?
 
Hi all,

I've got the intake off and I'm undergoing the conversion. I'm just having a hell of a time figuring out how the vacuum lines will run.

First off, I have read that the item I am pointing at with the red arrow, on the S2, has the small vacuum line connected to the tiny little receptacle on the top of the S2 throttle body.

When doing this swap, what, if anything, do I connected to the little receptacle on the S2 throttle body?

Second, can anyone confirm how they route the vacuum line on the heater control valve???

I for some reason had 3 T's in the vicinity of the fuel pressure regulator. I've been referring to diagrams but something is screwy.

Does your heater control valve vacuum line do a big circle around the engine and connect directly into a line that leads into the firewall???

Part of your problem is the diagram you have posted only pertains to fuel system line routing, including vacuum lines. The FSM also has the vacuum line routing for the M44.41 engines (S2) so if you have access to it, the answers are there.

For your second question, the *upper* nipple for HVAC on the firewall will need a "T" and goes to the vacuum canister near the windshield and through the check valve to the brake booster. The "S" cars have a different brake booster vacuum port than any of the other cars. It's easier to match the OEM diagrams if you pick up one of these ports. The *lower* nipple goes directly to the heater control valve. Nothing else, it is a direct line.
