Re-lubing Cooling Fans Possible?

The radiator cooling fans on my 85.5 are sounding pretty squeaky lately...and I'm thinking that I'd like to re-lube their inner motor shaft/bearing surfaces. Is disassembly and re-lubing possible with these fans? If so...any tricks to getting them apart? Thanks!

I'm hoping that if there is a viable process, it'll apply to the early cars too- my '84 shudders a bit when the fans kick in, and they're ridiculously loud. Cleaning and lubricating them can only help, right?

I replaced the bearings on my '86 fans. They are small and sealed and I don't think you can lube them. I got them at Motion Industries. I forget the number but it is printed on the bearing. You can check the brushes while the motors are out of the car too.

I have taken the fan on one of the 968's apart to clean and lube when it got to squealing. I did not replace the bearing, but should have.
When I have time I may do that.

7B944, that was something I had to figure out. I used a string...I believe to hold them back, then pulled the string once they got to a point where they would stay, but before full reinsertion.
