Building NLA "Hood Stay”, Part # 477823363A

I’m looking for a hood stay part number is 477823363A.

I already got the part # 10 and # 11 on the diagram, but part # 9 is NLA, so I guess I have to build it. It looks to be a very simple built, but I need to know the length and bend point of it (just want to make it as close to the OEM as possible).

Anyone have it and please measure the length and bend point for me please. Some pictures of them (part # 9, # 10, and # 11) being attached to the car would be very nice too :-)

Many thanks!

To the OP, I suspect you mean you have part #10 (the grommet) and #11 (the hood stay clip), and that you need a new hood stay (what we call "hood prop" here in the US), which is part #9. Correct?

Ideola - maybe this could be a niche item for you to make?
as long as you have one original one, making a new prop rod with some 1/4 or 5/16 rod should be trivial...just need a vice and a hammer

Yes, I mean part # 9. Sorry for the mistake, already revised the original post.

Although my hood struts are good, I always carry an umbrella around and this is the way I use it when working on my car (for more safety).

Haha! Would be good if we can utilize the bracket next to strut tower on the right.

Rasta, the '78 924 had a prop rod. I assume that the '77 through '79 had them.

I agree having both struts and a rod is unusual.
