Identify rubber grommet part number

I need to find a replacement for this rubber grommet / boot. Does anyone know what the part number is?

It appears to be on the loom that goes to the wiper motor.

I think it's 477.971.911 . Perhaps someone can verify.

Thanks, can anyone else confirm?

There also appears to be number stamped on it but a section is missing from mine, maybe someone else could read theirs?

Just checked the grommet on my 83 and can't see a p/n. I was able to see a VW symbol on it. Could be a common part. Perhaps check with Mark Plyhammer.

I've measured the hole diameter in the metal panel and it's 33-34mm

Have been looking at similar VW and Audi grommets but their measurements don't seem to be given.

I'll keep an eye open for something, but, In the meantime, I recommend trying Permatex The Right Stuff to make your own.

I checked the KAT and while there were pictures of grommets and numbers nothing seemed to be exactly as your picture illustrates.

I would imagine, however, that sending the include photo to Pelican et al with a request for a replacement should result in something good.

I think I have one of those, I'll check tomorrow

Yep, that's the same issue I faced, I've sent an email to Pelican, wait and see if they come back with anything in the meantime

FYI

I think there's one of those on the late MY's front driver side brae master cylinder to caliper brake line.
