Passenger side front hard brake line replacement

Hi,

New user here. I recently acquired a '83 944 and when driving around, I braked hard and foot when to the floor. Oops.

The hard line from the brake cylinder to the front right caliper had rusted though and the force of my braking popped it. I have ordered a new line from Pelican, but have been unable to snake it in over the torque tube. How do I accomplish this one?

The heat shielding near the rear of the engine has been flaking off and I'm thinking about removing most of it. thoughts?

Thanks,
fred

I used cunifer - it is pliable - got the general shape, then work it over the tube eventually- tranny was out.... if I follow you,....
