Coolant in sparkplug well

I found a trace of coolant in the #3 cylinder sparkplug well when starting the water pump job on my 87 944S. Any ideas how this coolant got in there? Here are some pictures.

Also does the rear belt cover (and crank gear) have to be removed to replace the WP or can it be done by just removing the cover bolts and rotating/bending it with the crank pulley still on?

I suspect the coolant is in the cylinder. Perhaps a head gasket issue. Good luck!

Looks dried up to me, maybe old crusty splashed up water that got by the plug wire seal? Engine pressure washed? When a head has a pinhole and is leaking in the plug well the plug will have a thick green goo on it from the semi-evaporated antifreeze. Been there

For coolant to get up there, you'd have to have a major blowout. Radiator hose? It's probably just water from a wash job.
