Antenna replacement

Hi,

First of all: happy new year to you all!

But then again, life goes on... I noticed that my FM radio quality was really getting bad. I took out the radio and noticed that the antenna end was wasted. The plug was coming of the wire, so i disconnected the plug, cut a bit of wire and noticed that the PO messed up the antenna by destroying the inner, very small wire that carries the main signal. So, i tried restoring it, but it doesn't seem to work.
How does the antenna run in the car, i know it's in the window, but how does it get there and is there a connection i can access to replace the complete wire from window to radio, and is this wire available?

Thanks for any info!

I dont know how it runs through the car. I know in my 944S it looks like its in the windshield. My car gets no radio reception and it looks like at the base of the windshield the wire might be cut. I would like to get it fixed somehow. I dont know what my options would be though. I might just try to fix that wire. It would be nice to be able to listen to the radio at times.

My 951 just got a new frontwindow, tinted glass, green tint at top and antenna ($$$). The guy that did the window also made sure the connection from the windshield antenna to some sort of amplifier was ok. So it's the wire going from the radioamplifier to the radio itself that needs replacing. I already saw on PET that there is an order number for it, but i would like to inspect first. I have NO clue where the connection from windshield to radio is...

Anybody?
