Steering Woes
Need some assist to diagnose please... a while ago during a sharp rt turn the steering wouldn't return to center. I continued onto the grassy shoulder and yanked hard on steering wheel... heard and felt a clunk and then it returned to normal. Never happened again. The current situation is the steering wheel will be off center one moment and then centered the next. The rack is OEM, and never been serviced except for the tie rods. Any ideas? Time for a new rack?

Time for new mounts to hold your rack, at a minimum.

Intermediate shaft is toast? U-Joints on both ends?
