It's not an exact fit, the valence mounts in different spots to the radiator support. I have and 88 valence on the front of the 83 racecar and I had to change some mounting holes. I think the vertical plastic section don't line up as well.
If you find a good late valence grab it an make it work. Most of them are pretty chewed up.

Hey Pops,
In case you're interested, I've seen this craigslist ad here in Minneapolis for a front valance for an '87 NA. I don't know if $300 is a good price or not but you might be able to talk him down a bit. Seems a little high. AIR Porsche 944 NA Front Valance Bumper Not sure what shipping would be. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Doh! Stupid me, I thought you were looking for a valance for an '87.
Sorry! I'll still keep my eye out for an early valance. Well .... anyone else looking for a late model brand new valance?

Picked the valance up today and dropped it off at the painters house so he can color match it to the car!

I didn't get a pitcher of the valance befor I dropped it off at his house, also still trying to figure out how to post picks to the site. The car in the junk yard had sports seats in it trying to figure out how to come up with the $ to get them.

i will have to say owning a body shop for 20 plus years now every time i come across 944 owner they really don't know the names of panels on there cars .
you do or should know there is no front valance panel on any 944 bodyed car . the panel under the front bumper is called a spoiler . then there is what many call a batwing ! on a 944 with a spoiler under the front bumper they are really called a air duct center or splash shield center . on a 951/968 they are call lower bumper cover or splash shield . the panels on the back of the car that go around the wheels are not called fenders they are called quarter panels . only cars like the old VW bugs have rear fenders . i could list what the people in the UK call the body panels but when your talking about cars you should call the panels what they truly called from the country the car was built in . i don't know why or how it came about that most 944 owners just don't know the proper names of body panels ? |

Well...
I'm sure I get the part names wrong all the time because I don't run to the parts catalog everytime I want to say something in Porsche. I completely understood what POPS was talking about and apparently so did others. Successful communication! Bruce |
