Porsche Crest Anyone else got this colour? (pics)

Hello all.
Here`s a few pics of my recently purchased 85.1 944,the colour is pastel beige- only available 84-85 model years,if anyone else has got one or knows of one in this colour, let me know cause I ain`t seen another! 88k, 1 elderly owner from new, fpsh right back to when order was changed from Guards red/half black leather to Pastel beige/brown porsche logo, sport seats. She`s just been washed, already starting to freeze!
Thank you Pelican Parts for the invaluable information leading to me getting this Cream puff! (I looked at a lot of dogs...) ,couldnt have done it without this board.

p.s anyone fitted a 968 Clubsport steering wheel to an early dash 944? Photos would be appreciated.:

Love the euro bumpers and the wheel crests.

I have the sport seats too and I love them. Mine were originally full leather, but I had them re-covered in vinyl following the factory stitching pattern after the leather rotted.

Do you have any pictures of your sport seats?

Thanks for the feedback, I'll post some pictures of the interior as soon as this *****ty Scottish winter weather improves.
SoCal driver, was their a difference between the U.S and the Euro front spoiler? I do know that the front fog lights were an option here in the U.K (its on the options list in the drivers handbook.)
Cheers, John

Hmm..

Strange... I am dead certain that my car was that color before the original owner had it repainted Audi Dark Blue (very pretty color on a Porsche, BTW). It is an 83, though. Paint has flaked off in a little spot on the mirrors and it is that color underneath.

I would love to know who did the original repaint job on my car. I would send autos to them any day. There are no places in the car where it is not the right color. Even under the dashboard.

http://gene.wins.uva.nl/~marcol/technical/ColorCodes.html

Heres a good link for Porsche colour codes from '82 to '89. According to this Pastel Beige was available 85-86 not 84-85 as I said in the first post.(Not sure of this sites accuracy though.)

Dark blue on the '44 would be very nice (I think I've seen Audi Coupes in that shade) ,any pictures?

Cheers , J

Thanks Dougster!
Its great when an 18 year old sports car can still hold on to a brand new Audi TT between 70-100mph (right on his bumper, gave the owner a serious fright! ) We hit traffic ,so I'll never know what might have been!
mid-range acceleration is pretty astonishing even now,and gives a lot of modern sports cars a good wake up call. I hate you 951 owners!

I was gonna whip out some nice pics for all of you, and kapow!!!. The car blew up and caught fire... Just kidding. Actually, I popped out my nice digital camera, flipped the power button to on, and got....NOTHING!!! That is when I noticed the little pieces floating around in there. Somebody dropped it and didn't tell me!!! AARRRGH!!!

Looks pretty good for Scottish weather this time of the year!

All the Euro's I've seen that have been repatriated here don't have the "fog" lights in the front spoiler. I would have to check the wiring for the ROW cars but I see no reason NOT to have the additional lights.

I've always liked the Euro bumpers for the "regular" 944's. How hard are these bumpers to find in the local salvage yards?

Socal, heres a few sites you can try in the U.K. I'm pretty sure Douglas Valley ship worldwide, and their one of the larger Porsche breakers here,so they should have 944n/a bumpers.
Porscheshop and club autosport stock new bodyparts, including bumpers. I'll see if i can hunt down a few more links.

Bet you dont get salt on the roads in California. Still no rust yet. Praise be to galvanised steel!

Think that most of the western US uses sand. The midwest and east coast may still use salt.

Thanks for the links.

Keep us posted on your "new" car.
