924/924S Mud Flaps Opinions
Both the 924 and 924S PET show an option for a "Mud Flap Set": Porsche Part Number 477.821.805
These appear to be your basic mud flaps molded to fit the contour of the narrow-body 924/924S. Does anybody have these? Are they "floppy" rubber, or are they fairly stiff? How do they look? Are they paintable? Both the 924 and 924S PET also show an option for "Wheel Covers": Porsche Part Number 477.853.383 (L) and 477.853.384 (R) These appear to be the custom molded rigid ones (not sure if FRP or fiberglass), and unfortunately are NLA. I'm trying to decide on getting the "Mud Flaps" which are available, or search the internet to see if i can locate the "Wheel Covers". Below are 2 photos of the "Mud Flaps" and 2 photo of the "Wheel Covers": ![]() ![]() ![]() This photo shows where i might eventually be going with this whole idea... ![]()

In the UK, the "wheel covers" were only supplied for the 924 Turbo. I have had the mudflaps on my 924S since new, they have survived all this time. I also have a set of the 924 Turbo ones too, they are also moulded rubber.

I had 2 mud flaps for a 924 a while back. They are stiff. You could probably paint them.

I have the 924 Turbo mud flaps on my 924S and love them. They are a heavy duty rubber, I bought them from a junk yard and they have been on my car for 17 years. They still look great. I'm not sure how well painting them will work with them being rubber...but I am not a paint expert.
