2.7 litre 924S

So I hadnt dreamt that I had read this, just found the link via the German upholstery supplier website mentioned in the recent upholstery thread: 25 were apparently built as prototypes with the late type dash, intended for the 89 model year, some were crash tested and the rest sold to Porsche employees when the idea to bring them to market was dropped

They were test mules for the 1989 model to disguise them while out in public. There was never any intention to put the cars into production and some were built long after production of the 924S had ended.

Not keen on wooden interior trim for a Porsche.I think the car probably went well though, for its era.

That trim was likely added by someone. Here's two more cars...

Oh my... Those are nice. I'd love to have 924 with the later 944 interior AND the 2.7L engine.

That is a sleek car. Could you do a body sheet metal conversion instead of a dash/electrical and engine swap?
