Funny transaxel noise, LOL!

Man o' man, I was out running errands in my 944 turb, and I heard a scraping grinding noise, I thought wtf? I just replaced the cv axels and the whole drive line was gone over or parts replaced. Hmmm,So I babied the beast around town, finished my errands and went back to the garage. I grabbed my pep-bro's creeper and looked under the car, I inspected the cv's nothing there, solid as a rock. I looked around with my flash light then bammo' I found a twig stiking from the floor board to the ground. Haaaaa, I pulled off the twig that was scraping the ground took it for a spin and nothing but good ol' silence! Talk about dodging a bullet! LOL

LOL, Right on Patrick! That noise would make anyone that is worried about driving theses "fragile" cars round' towne' nervous. Everyone knows when you buy a classic "super car" the car stereo stays low, to listen for new noises indicating woe and money. We love to drive our classics, the head turning etc. but, when it sits in the shop, that's when the blues start.....

lol.... Good to hear it was nothing serious.

I know what you mean though. I consider my car pretty mechanically sound and I maintain it regularly. But even stll I always get this funny feeling when turn that key that says, "I sure hope this thing starts up without issues." hahaha
