water pump gasket asbestos & non ?
Did the asbestos one get replaced with the non-asbestos one?
My old water pump had an OEM asbestos gasket (thicker) and some adhesive on it...... the new gasket I received is a non-asbestos (thin) gasket? Is their a special way to use this gasket? Adhesives? Thanks

Gaskets have been asbestos free for a while now.
If you have a rebuild pump, we don't use the gasket that is in the box; we use the OEM gasket. Sealer is not strictly necessary but people do use it.
