Doing oil pan, noticed the motor mounts...
Hey everyone, long time no post!
So, I've gotten myself under the car and after much swearing I've got the cross member off and am about to reseal my oil pan. I noticed that the mounts were in need of some care though; notably the one on the left is the old style and the one on the right looks like it's burst and is leaking hydraulic fluid (there's a noticeable deep crack in the rubber too). Pic: ![]() So, my question is, are there hydraulic OEM style mounts that don't cost a mortgage payment for a pair? I've looked into the Meyle and URO brands, but I've heard conflicting opinions on their durability. Any thoughts?

anything less than the oem/corteco mounts with produce a vibration at idle. kinda depends on your tolerance level and/or usage.

I know it's weird, but I learned the hard way. The cheaper ones are ok for just a regular 924. I happen to have an 88 924S which has the 944 motor in it, so it's best to spend the extra money and do it right the first time. From what I found out it has to do with the heat shielding and more torque the motor has. I could be wrong, but learned to spend the money on the Porsche brand and finally do it right... Good luck

After doing some more research into the subject, I went ahead and make my wallet cry on a pair of OEM mounts. Like Johnny O said, might as well go ahead and do it right.
