Almost there... crossmember doesn't want to play nice.
 

Or I guess the entire engine doesn't want to play nice; somehow it managed to shift. The crossmember is attached to the engine via the motor mounts, but I'm unable to line up the crossmember to the chassis due to the engine's offset. Does anyone have tips on how to get the whole thing to move around a bit? I'm thinking about losing the control arms for now to make things a tad easier to move around.

It is kind of hard to say what you are up against with out being there or having some pictures of where you are at. Think you can load a few pictures so we have help you out a bit better?

are you putting the engine back in? Taking it out?

I suggest get a hoist to hold the engine up, remove the brackets that mount the engine to the engine mount/cross member. Install the cross member and then move the engine in place.

But not exactly sure what you're trying to do.

If the engine is still mounted to the torque tube that will make it harder to move around.

I was doing the oil pan gasket along with some other stuff like the power steering rack, so the engine was supported from above; I think it shifted around relative to the rest of the car due to only the front being on jack stands. Anyway, I managed to get everything back in alignment as I was in the process of taking pics for you guys; I must have hit the right angle when I jacked up the engine since the crossmember bolts just happened to slide in when I was using them to show how far off everything was.

Long night was long, I'll torque down everything tomorrow after work.

Awesome man! I am very glad you got that sorted, I know it can be super frustrating doing that by your self.

tip for future readers...assemble everything "loose"...just the first few threads of the motor mount bolts/nuts engaged to allow the x-member to be threaded in carefully...once it's up, tighten everything else down...
