Followup suspension problem
Ok, I jacked the car up today and did some poking around here is what I have found so far: (BTW this is a followup post to me suspension tumping post.)
http://home.attbi.com/~sramnit/bolt.JPG This was a missing bolt from an exhaust flange to the torque tube. I replaced it but have not yet tested. So it could have been the problem. http://home.attbi.com/~sramnit/armmountleft.JPG This is the passenger side trailing arm mount. To the right of the picture is a large screwdriver that I am using to move the mount. There looks to be some seperation here. http://home.attbi.com/~sramnit/armmountright.JPG Right side as well http://home.attbi.com/~sramnit/bushingleft.JPG This looks ok right? http://home.attbi.com/~sramnit/bushingright.JPG And this? http://home.attbi.com/~sramnit/trailleft.JPG These seemed solid as well. http://home.attbi.com/~sramnit/trailright.JPG Same here Anyone see any "smoking gun's" here? |
So I take the silence to mean that everything looks normal then?

Scott,
I also hate it when nobody responds---so I'll take a shot. I think I'd go for a test drive and see if the missing bolt you replaced solves your problem. I've had cars before where one stinkin' bolt caused all kinds of funny noises. Once fixed, problem solved (for me). With regard to the other pictures, nothing stands out to me but I'll bow to the other experts who've looked at this stuff a lot longer than I have. Anyhow, good luck with it! Curtis |
