How is your clutch pedal action
Still highly concerned about the pedal travel. I understand i can inspect the clutch through a viewing port. But, i want to know how far all of you had to release the pedal after you put around 12k miles on your clutch? Is it towards the end of the release when it grabs or early or somewhere in the middle? Would appreciate the input

My 951 is heavy and engages near the top. Clutch has 18k on it. My wife's NA is in the is like butter and engages about the middle, around 30k on her clutch. I put a new clutch into my brothers NA 944 and his is soft and engages at the bottom. So it is difficult to actually say a clutch disk bad by the pedal engagement. Hope this gives you some for of good info.

If your clutch pedal is jumping between shifts, then your Flywheel or clutch disk could be glazed. Let me know your findings, if anything i do have a good used NA clutch i could send you for like $250 shipped. |

I believe that the clutch is self adjusting since it is hydraulic and should always engage near the top.

The rod from the clutch pedal to the back of the master cylinder must also be adjusted correctly too. There should be just a couple or three mm of pedal travel (measured at the bottom of the pedal foot pad) before it actually starts pushing the piston in the master cylinder.

I personally would bleed the clutch prior to proceeding with the other adjustments, as you do not know when it was last done if ever at all. Once bled, adjust as pictured in the previous post. Adjusting that spring can have a big effect on the feel of the pedal, and you want the proper amount of play in the pedal.
I am not saying this is going to change the engagement to the middle of the pedal stroke, but at least you will know all other systems are adjusted/bled/functioning properly. |

I have never adjusted the spring on mine. Just the clevis rod from the pedal to the master cylinder.
