AFM Paper Gasket/Brake Booster Vac Hose Questions

I am in the process of replacing all the vacuum lines in my 87 NA. I was ordering parts yesterday and discovered the paper gasket for the AFM is no longer available. Any advice on what to replace it with?

Also, does anyone have recommendations for a generic replacement for the brake booster vacuum hose? The new part is 76 dollars which seems outrageous for just a molded vac line. Can I just replace it with properly sized heater hose of is there something special about the line that justifies that cost? Part number is 944-110-219-00 for reference.

So, this is something that is not taught in auto shop classes anymore...

Make your own... A piece of cardboard should work just fine.

I bought a 5' length of 12mm silicone vacuum hose (off Amazon) to use for the brake booster. Haven't installed it yet, but will in the next couple of weeks when I get the engine back in the car.

Did some searching/reading and others have done the same without any issues.

I cut one out of a sheet of silicone rubber i had.
As someone said even cardboard (like a cereal box) will work here.

You can replace the brake booster hose with a common 15/32" PCV hose available from your local auto parts store (I did this...and my ORIGINAL PORSCHE hose even had 15/32" printed on it, lol), should be about $5 for a 2ft piece (you don't need all 2 ft though)

Garage
Make the holes a little longer because it has to make a full 180-degree Bend if it's not a little longer it will kink
