924S power steering rack and in line PS filter installation info

In 2008 I bought a basic rebuilt PS rack from AutoZone with a Limited Lifetime (LLT) Warranty.
The seals failed in Dec. 2016 and AutoZone did not have the basic 924S PS rack and offered me the upgraded rebuilt PS rack from Atlantic Automotive Engineering (additional $80)--again LLT.

Atlantic Automotive Engineering requires a power steering filter.

Very impressed with the rebuilt rack workmanship and a 3/8" inline PS filter is included.

After careful consideration and reading that Arnnworx has a repair solution to the short 3/8" return line to the PS reservoir...

...I cut the return line hose under the PS reservoir before the bend about in the middle and inserted the Magna PS filter in the line. It lays on the ledge under the PS reservoir.
I added a piece of rubber under the filter for vibration reduction.

Atlantic Automotive engineering also recommends replacing all PS hoses due to age and contamination of old hoses.
I replaced the main pressure hose ($105 to $150+-) I had replaced the PS reservoir and low pressure hose to the pump a couple years ago.

If you follow Clarks-Garage PS install info, installing the PS rack is straight forward.

WYAIT- new Corteco engine mounts....

I don't think I would install a second filter to the system. The one integrated into the reservoir is more than adequate.
