Cabin heat issues
So my new to me 86 951 has cabin heat issues. It has had the AC deleted correctly I believe (maybe not) but the vents constantly blow hot air no matter what I do with the HVAC settings. Btw I'm not sure if this matters but the car is missing the bat wing and under engine tray panel (anyone got those for sale?). Any advice on how the remedy?
Thanks! - John

The heater control valve is located near the center of the firewall. If for some reason it was constantly open (or nonexistent) you would get a constant hot airflow. The fan recirculates on a low speed even when the switches are off.

You probably just need to replace a clip or two in the driver's footwell- that's the most common failure point for the late car always blowing hot air. 944 HVAC Operation and Malfunctions

So the clips are broken under the dash. I have ordered the parts based off of clarks guide. Is it possible to make the repairs with the seat still in place and not breaking my back? Just looking for advice from someone who has done this before. Thanks!
