Squeaky clutch pedal
Just recently my clutch pedal has developed a little squeak when depressed. It seems to be comming from this rod in the picture, any ideas?

Also what is the purpose of the little nut that attaches with the rod? It feels like it has a bit of play in it but I'm not sure if that's causing the squeak

It's a lock nut to prevent the rod from moving once you set the pedal free-play after replacing a master cylinder. The squeak is probably coming from the pin that connects this rod assembly to the pedal shaft.
