**lordgromitt ** If Anyone Can Relay This Message **matt Lordgrommit**

Hi Matt,

I brought up those tracking numbers for the wheels.

1. It looks like you received one box....?
What happened to the other?

Let me know.... if you received 2 or 4 wheels.

.... Roger (from this BBS) is checking to see what could have happened to them through UPS.

2. FAX me that information you were going to send to me..... my toll free FAX number

1-866-839-9022

Hopefully you get this message.

Thanks Alex

I have some of that but its being blocked by a bad case of no power at full throttle, good luck with the wheels. I've already gone madd. need the cure fast. my only redemption is a quick ride in my friends 951 mine will have to wait for the repair gods at R&D to shine light on my problem

makes me wonder how dumb a person can be......the box must have had holes the size of the wheels in it so they could clearly see inside and know nothing was there. but they still shipped it? thats worst than that guy that can't spell on ebay!

97XRAY 01-31-2003 03:39 AM

Since I just had a similar TERRIBLE shipping experience with the USPS, I'm starting to wonder if anyone has had positive experiences with shipping wheels???
ae - sorry, I feel for you: just make sure you stick to your guns and get re-imbursed for the wheels they "lost."
Keep us up to date!

When I was in high school, a long long time ago, I worked PT at UPS. That was in the days when companies just started to ship tires and wheels.

As the stuff was comming down the belt, if someone neeed a set of tires for their car or a set of wheels, they rolled out the door.

Some of the guys got caught, but most didn't.

I'm talking about in the '70s when you would melt a set of GoodYear RedLines on the GTO in the High School Parking Lot. You would need a set of tires every week.

Hope you get your wheels....

ae1969 01-31-2003 12:27 PM

trying to get these wheels has been hilarious experience.......

I forgot to mention..... the clowns I dealt with to get these wheels....

When I bought them 4 weeks ago........

The company put my visa through 3 times.....!!!! and it sat pending on my visa for a week!! They kept telling me my visa had not been approved. So I gave them my other visa.... put it through 2 times no go.....Still DECLINED ....

I was thinking WTF? is going on.....these visas have nothing on them.... but these guys were using some web based visa/mc system....and it kept saying NOT APPROVED and it was actually going through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason I found out was that VISAs fraud department called that same evening.....if I had approved 5 transactions on my visa (I have 2 visas from the same bank)..........I told them what happened....and I guess this company had ****ed up royally !!!!!!!!!!!

I had visa send information to this company and still they wouldn't believe it so fine....I asked visa to reverse them all .......NO PROBlem..

So I had to send a flippen money order to finally have the wheels shipped.... and then the UPS ordeal .......LOLOLOLOLOL

I am starting to think these wheels are possesed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the words of encouragement!!! I am going to get plastered tonight!!!!!! TGIF !!!!!!!!!

P.S. Matt.... call me

AE I called UPS twice today and spoke to my rep. The lady in Anaheim was not at her desk sorry but I dont have any updates I will call again Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Roger Hall 01-31-2003 03:18 PM

By the way these people dont know how to ship. they sent two 84 lb boxes when it would have been cheaper to send 4 seperate 42 lb boxes. Since UPS charges alot more once the weight exceeds 70 lbs (up to 4 times as much). The other thing is that there are very few boxes that can handel that much weight especially cardboard boxes. UPS has rules about shipping tires if UPS knew what was in the boxes they would not have excepted the shipment. The have rules about shipping tires. UPS does a good job consider they handel millions of boxes each year. UPS says their accuracy is 97% on time delivery. That number is probably high. In my job I am responsible for shipping 165,000 boxes last year and it is rare that UPS screws up. A shipment of this type should probably go by a freight line. Fedex Freight, or Overnight trucking would have been my choice.

Sorry to bore you guys its what I do for a living (the shipping part hopefully not the borring part well maybe both).

Thanks for your help roger....

I called the vendor I bought the wheels from and he says "oh we can't do nothing follow up with UPS and see what u can do. ".....

so at this point I am thinking this guy (vendor) is on drugs... but oh well.. I call UPS

I called UPS.... and they would not give me any info because ...
"I am not the shipper and we do not give out information..." ?????

SO I called the schmucks backs (vendor), and left a nasty message that if they don't find my wheels I will send back the two I have ....................................bla, blah, blah....

AUGGGGH

ae1969 01-31-2003 03:30 PM

WOW 165,000 parcels..... thats a few boxes!!!

actually my brother in law works for a national (canadian) shipping company as well...

he mentions that its about a ~97% success rate.

I guess u only hear about the 3% failures......

p.s.

Oh...and the Vendor tells me that they ship those in such a manner that they will never come apart............. blah blah ...

Roger Hall 01-31-2003 03:45 PM

CHeck with the credit card company. You may not be responsible for the charges since you never received the merchandise.

Yes UPS is not supposed to give out information to anyone but the shipper, but I know the sysem.

If the credit card company gives you any ammo maybe we can get the shipper on the phone Monday and rattle their cage.
