Alternate targa top FRONT latch configurations?

So, my issue is, currently with a helmet, and factory seat, my head rubs on the drivers side front latch. ive put up with it for a few years.
when i test fit my racing seat - with the seat modified, the bracket modified, and the slider modified to be as low as possible, its unusable because of the latch.

popping the rear up does nothing, and taking the roof off doesn't really either, the latch piece is still there.

im wondering if anyone else has modified the front latches in a fashion that makes them lower profile, or even simply moved the latch over to the middle more?

i may need to make a bracket outside on the roof so that the front slides under it and holds it in place, and just do away with the latches.

its a dedicated race car.

If it's a dedicated race car, remove the latches front and rear, as well as the inner lining, and glue the sunroof in place. I would suggest a silicone caulk that closely matches the color of your car.

i bet you could take the whole DS "triangle plate" with the latch on it and move it to the center position and put the originally-centered triangle piece in the DS side. maybe have to redrill the triangle brackets.
that would still be enough to keep the roof locked down.

so instead of it being
latch****center hook****latch

it'd be

center hook****latch****latch

they look pretty close in shape to me.

interesting idea -
I do want to keep the ability to remove it. and I also have to keep the interior in place as best as possible for SSM classing. but latches can be changed. so ill look into swapping those. I do like to pop up the rear at hillclimbs because that's about the only airflow I get
