Rear suspension - separating spring plate from aluminium trailing arm
Ok, so this is turning into a nightmare of epic proportion....85.5 NA 944.
I'm trying to separate the spring plate from the trailing arm. Nothing moves. I had to drill one of the bolt already (upper) the lower one came out, the eccentric nut is removed, but the stud wont move either. Anyone here has a magic trick to use ? If not I guess I'll drop the whole thing together and fight with it on the bench... And to make matters worse, it looks like the driver side will be the same, impact wont move that *** upper bolt and the nut on eccentric isn't bulging either...

you are probably hung on the eccentric cam as it sits inside the spring plate. rotate the 27mm camber adjuster.
edit..i assume you have the sway bar linked removed. the locating bolts are 75 ft pounds which should be doable with a two foot bar pretty easy. the bolts are nla so you will have to source them from belmetric or elsewhere. Last edited by thomasryan; 08-13-2017 at 04:19 AM.. |
