Soldering O2 Sensor?
I've seen it mentioned a couple of times that you shouldn't solder the O2 sensor wire.
Can some one please explain why soldering would be a bad idea in this application?

I think it is baloney. It's not like a little heat would affect it. Electrical components can be troublesome. Surely not this.

I soldered mine and now I'm getting very weird readings, slow responce after running a while...even negative voltages. So , I'm replacing it again. This time using posi lock connectors that came with the sensor.

I still think it is baloney. Here's why. If air is getting into the sensor by being drawn through the wire, what draws it? The pressure in the exhaust is above atmospheric else it would not come out the end of the exhaust pipe. So what draws the air in there? Where does it go? To keep being drawn in, it must go somewhere. Can't go to exhaust stream because pressure is high there.
I don't believe it.
